🌿 Meet Thom, our resident one-on-one creative behind Express Design sessions.

Thom is celebrating his 14th year at Lurvey by bringing a thoughtful, nature-inspired approach to every project.

His friends would describe him as sensitive, perceptive, and a little unpredictable… which makes his work all the more unique.

Inspired by his childhood exploring the Catskill Mountains, Thom creates landscapes that feel natural, layered, and deeply personal. Whether it’s enhancing curb appeal or reimagining a backyard, his goal is simple: to create spaces that feel better, flow better, and support the way people live.

His favorite projects are perennial-based designs that act as a “living mulch” for a beautiful, sustainable, and low-maintenance result.

“I enjoy the challenge of designing in the moment and seeing that sense of relief when everything starts to come together.”
