Some trees mark the season. Ginkgo makes it unforgettable. 🍂

This month’s Plant Story is all about Ginkgo biloba, one of the most distinctive trees in the landscape and a true showstopper come fall.

Its instantly recognizable, fan-shaped leaves bring beautiful texture throughout the growing season, but autumn is when this tree really puts on a show. Green foliage transforms into brilliant golden yellow, often creating a striking “carpet of color” as the leaves drop.

Beyond its fall display, ginkgo is remarkably resilient. Once established, it tolerates urban conditions, heat, and a range of soils, making it a long-lived choice for the right landscape.

With its iconic foliage and incredible fall color, there’s a reason the ginkgo continues to stand the test of time.

Stop by Lurvey to learn more about ginkgo and find the right tree for your landscape.
