With decades of experience as a leader of corporate social responsibility initiatives, deep expertise in impact strategy and assessment, and a proven track record of unleashing catalytic capital to create positive change–Mick’s addition to our team is transforming our firm.

Since the day we opened our doors, FM Civic has been devoted to in collaboration with leaders of business, government and nonprofit. For the benefit of Nature and humanity, Mick shares our commitment to address flaws in social, economic, and political systems. She will lead our impact practice to ensure visionary leadership translates into tangible systems change—rooted in justice, designed for resilience, and accountable to the public good.

We’re thrilled to welcome Audrey to our team for the summer! After graduating from Summit High School last year, Audrey headed to the East Coast where she is attending Georgetown University. Her interests lie in politics, public affairs, and non-profit work, and she's passionate about creating equitable public policy. She is excited to bring her experience in policy research, political strategy, and writing to FM Civic’s team and to strengthen her skills in strategic planning and public relations during her internship.

FORJ, a nonprofit in Oregon, is on a mission to revitalize American journalism. Their goal: deliver high-quality content to rural media outlets at no cost, much like a localized version of the Associated Press. They brought our firm on board to develop a pilot initiative: Homelessness: Real Stories, Real Solutions. We collaborated with the FORJ team on strategic communications, developing a digital platform, distribution strategy, and new partnerships.

May is Military Appreciation Month and we want to shout out one of our team members! Before launching her communications career (now going on 20+ years), Jenny started out as an officer in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps, where she was stationed in Germany and deployed to combat zones in Iraq and Kuwait at the start of the Iraq War.

Since then, she has parlayed her experience into working with government and nonprofit agencies that advance progress on transit and transportation, affordable housing, economic development, infrastructure, and other critical community issues.

This time last week, our team shared a meaningful lunch at the Family Access Network's FANraiser Luncheon. FAN's goal is to help students stay in school and thrive no matter what challenges face their families outside of the classroom. FAN provides assistance with household expenses, clothing, school supplies, activities, and more. FAN Advocates work in each school in the Bend LaPine district - and can be the difference between a student coming to school or not.

Funds raised at this event will have a lasting impact on the lives of children and teens in Central Oregon whose families are going through tough times.

Yesterday, our team had the joy of joining Redmond Chamber of Commerce & CVB’s Business After Hours featuring Heart of Oregon Corps! We gathered at the site of their new campus with friends and new connections. A super special touch was the wooden tree and leaves created by Heart of Oregon youth and young adults offering guests an opportunity to write notes of encouragement for those enrolled in HOC programs.
