Here is the dangerous truth: If your lights are set to "AUTO," they probably aren't on right now.

Please be advised:

A Snow Emergency event has been issued for the City of Detroit Lakes.

This will be in effect starting Wednesday, December 10th at 12:01am.

Per City Code 802, During a snow emergency, there shall be no parking on any City Street until the street has been completely cleared. Please plan accordingly. Landlords, please work with your tenants who may be parking on the street for alternative parking.

During a snow emergency, parking regulations will be enforced. A police officer may ticket or have vehicles towed/impounded. The cost and expense of ticketing, towing, or impounding are the responsibility of the vehicle owner.

We are getting lots of reports of vehicles off the roadway. Remember to slow down! West of Detroit Lakes seems particularly Hazzardous. Mile marker 30 to Lake Park slowdown and move over for emergency vehicles.
