Busy day here at BSG Tire Recycling! 🚛♻️

The street is completely packed today as we welcomed in our brand new shredder while the electric company worked hard repairing a power line that was unfortunately ripped out by a garbage truck.

This new machine is a dual motor, 4-shaft shredder and although it’s smaller than our other two shredders, it’s going to play a huge role in our operation. It will be producing a consistent 3-inch tire shred to complement our existing 6-12 inch and 1-inch material.

We’re extremely excited to get everything hooked up and running, if all goes well, tomorrow should be the big day! 💪🔥

Every upgrade like this helps us process more tires, create more usable recycled products, and continue building a cleaner future one tire at a time.

🌎♻️ Happy Earth Day from BSG Tire Recycling! ♻️🌎

Today is a reminder that the small things we do every day truly matter. Every tire recycled, every piece of waste kept out of a landfill, every conscious choice, it all adds up to something bigger than ourselves.

We want to take a moment to thank YOU. Your efforts, your awareness, and your commitment to doing the right thing are what make a cleaner, greener future possible.

But today, let’s challenge ourselves to go just a little further.
Pick up that extra piece of litter. Recycle a little more. Encourage someone else to do the same. Because when each of us does a little more, together we create a lot of change.

The future isn’t built in one day, but it is shaped by days like today.

Big day at BSG Tire Recycling! ♻️🚛

Our friends at Stuff Recycling Michigan rolled in today with a massive 60-yard dumpster packed full of semi tires. If you’ve never seen one in person… trust us, it’s BIG. Not quite as huge as the 80-yarder they brought last time, but still impressive!

To unload, this thing has to stretch about 75% of our yard just to lift up and dump all those tires. It’s a sight to see!

We’re proud to be working alongside Stuff Recycling Michigan. They’re great people doing great work, helping keep our planet cleaner and greener, just like us. 🌎💪

🌍 Big Day at BSG Tire Recycling! 🌍

Today we received the first of five Hapag-Lloyd shipping containers, marking an exciting step forward for our company!

We’re loading each container with 25 metric tons of our 1-inch tire shred, giving these materials a second life overseas. ♻️🚢

This is more than just a shipment, it’s a milestone. Expanding our reach beyond borders and doing business on a global scale is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Stay tuned as we fill the remaining containers and continue turning waste into opportunity!

♻️ The Life of a Tire at BSG Tire Recycling ♻️

Ever wonder what happens to your old tires after you drop them off? Here’s the journey they take through our facility:

🚛 Step 1: The Ride Up
Your tire begins its journey riding up the infeed conveyor, heading straight into our primary shredder.

🔧 Step 2: Primary Shredding
Inside the shredder, the tire is torn down into 2–6 large pieces, the first step in giving it a second life.

⚙️ Step 3: Grinding It Down
Next stop: the grinder. These pieces are sliced over and over again until they’re reduced to roughly 1-inch material, small enough to pass through a screen.

📦 Step 4: Ready for Reuse
Finally, the material travels along another conveyor and is piled up, ready to be reused in backfill, drainage systems, road construction, and more.

Have a large amount of tires that need to be recycled? We’ve got a simple solution.

At BSG Tire Recycling, we offer trailer drop service for customers with higher volumes of tires.

Here’s how it works:
• We drop a trailer at your location
• You load it with tires when it’s convenient for you
• When the trailer is full, we come pick it up

This option can save you a significant amount of money.
Customers using our trailer drop service typically pay $1.50 – $2.00 per tire, depending on how many tires fit in the trailer.
For comparison, a traditional pickup where we come out and load tires generally costs $3.25 – $3.50 per tire.

If you have the space and the ability to load a trailer, this is a great way to lower your recycling costs while keeping tires out of landfills.
