Good News Fridays: The U.S. just installed more battery storage in a single quarter than ever before. More storage means more clean energy available after the sun goes down.

Good news for low-income solar!

Last Friday, a federal judge ruled that EPA unlawfully terminated the $7 billion Solar for All program. The court vacated the termination, finding that Congress intended EPA to continue administering grants already awarded to states, Tribes, local governments, and nonprofits.

Solar for All was designed to help more than 900,000 low-income and disadvantaged households access rooftop and community solar. For installers, the ruling could allow grant-funded project pipelines in participating states to begin moving again.

It isn't over yet. EPA says it's reviewing the decision and weighing an appeal, so installers should watch for guidance from their state or regional Solar for All administrator before counting on specific projects.

Good News Fridays: Solar and batteries aren't just adding to the grid, they're becoming the grid. In Q1 2026, solar provided 60% of new U.S. electricity-generating capacity, with storage adding another 31%. Combined, that's 91% of everything new coming online.

For installers, this isn't a trend to watch. It's the market you're already building in.

Good News Friday: The energy capital of America is becoming a solar capital too.

Some of the most important work in solar starts when a project doesn’t go according to plan.

When an installer closes, a system stalls before receiving Permission to Operate, or a homeowner can’t get a straight answer about why their panels aren’t producing, our team steps in.

At GreenLancer, that means bringing together customer support, field operations, interconnection expertise, and a nationwide contractor network to move complicated projects toward resolution.

Purpose Jobs and Sarah Lozanova took a closer look at this work — and the people helping build the operational backbone residential solar needs.

If you like solving messy problems, collaborating across teams, and seeing the real-world impact of your work, this one’s for you.

A few of our favorite features include:

🏢 Glass walls and oversized windows that flood the space with natural light
🌆 Sweeping views of the Detroit River and skyline
🤝 An open layout built for live problem-solving, not just filling seats

We're a hybrid team, so this office isn't about clocking in five days a week. It's a home base for the moments that need everyone in the room together.

Ever wonder what's happening behind all those solar panels in your neighborhood?

Take a stroll to check in on some of our favorite projects:
- A home whose underperforming system got diagnosed and fixed
- An apartment complex whose installer closed mid-project (don't worry, we finished the job and got it inspected)
- A family who'll stay powered through the next outage thanks to a new battery storage setup.
