The day after a competition is tough, but it’s also one of my favorite things to talk about because I believe it’s where the real transformation actually sinks in.

You don’t have to know what’s next yet. But you do have to give yourself space to feel proud of what you just did.

I put together a free After-Action Review guide for exactly this moment. Download it via the link in my bio under Freebies and Resources.

And if you’re ready to turn this week’s lessons into a real prep plan, for next year or beyond, my DMs are open. That’s the whole point of impACT Consulting.

You showed up. You grew. What are you walking away with? Drop it below. ⬇️

The hotel room after a loss is one of the loneliest places in pageantry. Nobody really talks about that.

So… I’m talking about it.

Judges get a snapshot of your life. You have the whole album. Your growth, your work, your becoming… none of that disappears when the results are announced.

You are not defined by a scorecard. And you will still be your best self on the other side of this.

Finals night always hits different.

Whether your name was called or not, you did something this week that most people will never do. You trained for months, stepped onto a stage, and gave it everything.

That deserves to be honored.

Drop a 🤍 for every contestant who competed this week. Especially the Miss Kansas class of 2026!

Some placements fade. These moments don’t. 🤍

I’ve been thinking about this all week as Miss Kansas competition is in full swing — about what actually stays with you long after the scores are announced.

It’s never the placement. It’s always the people.

The zipper. The bobby pin. The whispered “you’ve got this” from someone who was also competing.

Swipe through if you know exactly what I mean. 👉

Saving this for the girls who needed a reminder that what happens backstage matters just as much as what happens onstage.

Prelim night is electric. But the most important things happening tonight won’t make it to the judge’s notes.

I’m talking about emotional regulation. Self-advocacy. Instinct. The ability to perform under pressure and trust yourself anyway.

Those are the skills that follow you out of the auditorium — into your career, your relationships, your life.

If you’ve ever walked away from a hard challenge with a new skill, I’d love to hear what it was. Drop it in the comments. ⬇️

Tis the (pageant) season, and of course because of my brain is thinking about the talents I’d LOVE to see as a pageant judge 🥰🇺🇸

What do you think? Any of these feel worthy?

06/03/2026

The judges aren’t your opponents. They’re your audience.

They walked into that room hoping to be impressed by someone. They want a reason to remember you. They want to leave saying “did you hear what she said?”

Your job today isn’t to be perfect. It’s to be real, be specific, and trust that the person you’ve been becoming (long before this week) is exactly who they need to meet.

Drop a 👑 in the comments if you’re competing today. I’ll be cheering for every single one of you!

Most interview prep teaches you what to say. I teach you how to think.

There’s a big difference between a client who has memorized answers and a client who has a formula — and judges, interviewers, and hiring panels can feel that difference the moment you open your mouth.

One of my favorite frameworks I coach my clients through is simple: answer the question directly, name the specific problem you see, and share what you are personally doing to solve it. Three steps. Works for any question. Every time.

Because here’s the thing — you cannot memorize your way to every possible question that will ever be asked of you. But you can build the critical thinking skills and the story library to answer anything that comes your way with clarity and confidence.

That’s what we do inside mock interview coaching with impACT Consulting. We build your formula. We find your stories. And we practice until the room stops feeling scary and starts feeling like yours.

If you’re preparing for state competition, a job interview, or any high-stakes conversation this season — let’s work together.

DM me “READY” or find the link in my bio to book a session 🤍
