Imagine you’re choosing between two prop firms.
Firm A has a 3.9⭐
Firm B has a 4.9⭐
At first glance, Firm B looks like the obvious choice.
But are those two scores really being built on an even playing field?
Our research into prop firm reviews uncovered an interesting trend: reviews generated through business invitations averaged more than 1 star higher than organic reviews.
That difference matters.
If one firm is actively inviting customers to leave reviews while another relies primarily on organic feedback, the resulting scores can paint very different pictures of their reputations—and potentially influence where traders choose to spend their money.
When you also factor in Trustpilot’s review-flagging system and instances where organic 5-star reviews are removed, it raises an important question:
Does Trustpilot’s model indirectly encourage businesses to move toward paid plans in order to remain competitive on the platform?
Our research suggests it’s a question worth exploring.
