“Grocery tip that changed everything for my family…” 🛒💰
One thing that really helped me reduce stress around groceries was learning to focus on buying certain staple foods in bulk.
When you are feeding a family, especially a big family, you quickly realize that the little things add up fast.
At one point, I felt like I was constantly running back to the grocery store every few days. Not only was it expensive, but it was also exhausting.
So I started paying closer attention to the foods we used the most.
For my family, buying things like:
* rice
* beans
* pasta
* oats
* frozen vegetables
* chicken
* fish
* potatoes
in larger amounts has helped me stretch meals much further and reduce unnecessary spending.
What I love about staple foods is that they can be used in so many different ways.
For example:
🍚 Rice can go with stew, vegetables, chicken, beans, or soups.
🫘 Beans can become soup, rice and beans, wraps, or side dishes.
🥦 Frozen vegetables last longer and help reduce food waste.
Another thing I noticed is that buying in bulk saves me time because I don’t have to keep rushing to the store every few days.
Now, I still buy fresh foods and fruits, but having these staples in the house gives me peace of mind because I know I can always put together a meal for my family.
Feeding a family these days takes planning, creativity, and patience… but small changes can really help over time.
👇🏽 I’m curious…
What is one thing you always buy in bulk for your family?
