If you notice a gas smell while using your stove, range, oven, or dryer, your first instinct might be to call the gas company — and you should if you believe there’s an emergency or a strong, continuous smell.
But here's the part most people don't know: the gas company can only check for leaks in your appliance's connection line, not the appliance itself. A-OK Appliance Repair, however, has the tools and know-how to track down the source of the leak and safely replace the parts causing it, including the connection line.
Save time, money, and a second service call by calling A-OK first. If we can’t get there same day, we’ll walk you through how to turn off and disconnect the gas supply safely until we arrive.
The attatched picture is an oven gas valve regulator. We had a customer this week contact her gas company because she could smell gas when the oven was on. The gas company could only check the line going to the oven but not the oven itself and said it had to be the appliance. The customer then had to call us, in which we quickly found that the regulator was leaking.
