This closet was overflowing enough to hide daily things. My client and I purged a good amount of clothes to donate, and made room to transition things around for a better flow.

My rule of thumb is if you haven’t grabbed for it in over a year, toss it out. 👚🔃

Closets need to breathe to function well for daily life!

The client and I worked closely together on this pantry and she was hands on during the process, learning the steps to take back control of this space.

Sometimes you can have a vision and an idea for something, but struggle to find the time, motivation and energy to dedicate to it. That’s where real support comes in to guide that vision to life. Hiring an organizer doesn’t always mean they’ll control every aspect of the job you hire them to do, or that you’re not good at organizing. We can honestly just be there for the extra help and encouraging support. Sometimes it takes a village 🤍

Organizing is a great investment that will bring peace to a space that no matter how much you tidy, will continue to steal your mental energy. Creating systems that follow your daily habits and routines will help keep the massive overhaul to a minimum while providing more visibility to what you have - reducing overspending, waste and inconvenience.

I had a thought back to this project I did in October. It’s one of my favorite transformations, but I was curious what the current status of it would be. So I reached out and the photo I got back made me so happy!

Though not perfect (nothing truly is), the core still held up: the systems we implemented, the zones we established and the containers still providing purpose.

Some may think organizing is a tidy up the falls apart later, but the real value of organizing truly is that it’s a structure to minimize the consistent tidying, one that lasts long-term. Peaceful systems for life 🌿
