Grateful to be part of the UTRGV GEAR UP Family Conference Pt 2 last Friday alongside the CoolSpeak team!

As incoming 9th-grade families prepare for this next chapter, we had the opportunity to connect, laugh, learn, and share together tools for their child’s success.
They learned about college & career readiness, communication, financial assistance, and social emotional tools!

HIJOLE. What a wonderful two days. ❤️ Que honor.

After being connected with California Mini-Corps for over a year, I FINALLY got to meet their incredible tutors—aspiring educators working with migrant students across California.

But the best part? Their self-awareness and desire to become the best educators they can be for their students. THAT is what makes my heart happy.

My favorite part of this work isn’t just speaking to educators—it’s getting to hang out with them AS an educator. Sharing stories, laughing, learning from one another, and talking about the love of education that has kept me going for the last 20 years.

Thank you for allowing me to pour into these future educators—and for allowing them to pour right back into me.

I left feeling grateful, inspired, and incredibly blessed. ❤️
