The Emeryville Commerce Connection is a mutual benefit nonprofit organization, 501(c)(6), incorporated with the purpose of promoting the common economic interests of its members and the commercial enterprises in Emeryville. The ECC will provide networking (Emeryville Connexion) events for the business community, act as an advocacy resource, workforce development and referral network, as well as promote the City of Emeryville and its business community. What a wonderful evening at last week’s event at Hyatt House!

A big thank-you to GM Michael Reed and the Hyatt House staff for the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Everyone enjoyed fantastic appetizers, refreshing drinks, and great conversations out on the patio by the warming fire pits.

It was a great night of connection, community, and local business energy. You definitely don’t want to miss the next one!

In honor of Women’s History Month, Emeryville Commerce Connection is highlighting our Women-Owned Business Members.

Julia Clayton has called Emeryville home for 21 years, and when she decided to open her own legal practice - the Law Office of Julia A. Clayton, P.C. - it was only natural to have her office here. Julia represents small and mid-sized business in civil litigation.

Many clients come to her after learning that they may be sued over the tracking technologies (aka cookies, beacons, or pixels) they use on their websites. Julia helps businesses resolve these claims in an efficient and economical manner. Julia also handles government investigations and regulatory enforcement matters, drawing from her experience working for the California Attorney General’s Office.

Julia is a valuable member of the ECC Board of Directors and is thrilled to celebrate other women-run enterprises here in Emeryville. Come meet Julia next Wednesday at Bay Street at our March Mixer!
