Two tick species were more abundant in cedar encroached areas than grasslands. The greatest increases were in the earliest stage of encroachment.

Total Count of Two Species
Lone Star Tick
- Open Grassland: 772
- Early Encroachment: 26,960
- Moderate Encroachment: 8,556
- Mature Encroachment: 8,008

American Dog Tick
- Open Grassland: 15
- Early Encroachment: 110
- Moderate Encroachment: 129
- Mature Encroachment: 106

Cedar Height & Cover
- Open grassland: Height 0ft, Cover 0%
- Early Encroachment: Height 12ft, Cover 30%
- Moderate Encroachment: Height 17ft, Cover 55%
- Mature Encroachment: Height 24ft, Cover 89%

🌲 Cedar Removal Project Complete 🌲

We recently wrapped up a cedar removal job through a government cost-share program, helping restore this property back to healthy, usable land. It’s always rewarding to see the difference it makes—not just in appearance, but in the long-term health of the land.

Why should you remove cedars from your property?

✔️ Reduce fire risk – Cedars are highly flammable and can quickly fuel wildfires, especially in dry conditions.
✔️ Improve water availability – A single cedar tree can absorb a surprising amount of water, robbing your soil and grasses.
✔️ Boost pasture productivity – Removing cedars allows native grasses to thrive, giving you better grazing potential.
✔️ Protect wildlife habitat – Overgrown cedar can choke out the natural ecosystem that wildlife depends on.
✔️ Increase property value – Clean, well-managed land is more functional and visually appealing.

If your land is starting to get overtaken by cedars, now is the time to act—especially if you qualify for a government program to help cover the cost.

🌲 Oklahoma Landowners — This Is Worth Looking Into 🌲

If your property is in one of the counties listed below, you may qualify for a cost-share program to help with cedar removal.

These programs can cover a large portion of the cost to remove invasive trees like Eastern Red Cedar, helping you:

✔️ Reduce wildfire risk 🔥
✔️ Improve pasture and usability
✔️ Open up your land and views

We’re currently working on a job right now using government funding through one of these programs, and it’s making a big impact for the landowner.

If you’ve been putting off clearing your land because of cost — this could make a big difference.

📩 Message us if you’re ready to get those cedars cleared.

Before ➡️ After 🌊🌿
The owner’s goal: open up the shoreline for a better view of the lake.

This privately owned lake had become overgrown, blocking sightlines and access to the water. By clearing and shaping the shoreline, we brought the lake back into view while improving usability and long-term land health.

A big project, a clear vision, and results that speak for themselves.
If your land is hiding its best features, we can help uncover them.

📩 Send us a message to talk about your project.
