Based on my own experience with the unemployment office, this ad by the employment department is dangerously misleading. By reducing hours you are doing a partial layoff and they can still claim unemployment and still have to go through all the job search stuff. The claim is still going to impact your UE rate for five years.

College Financial Aid: NOW is the time for renewing your scholarships or filing your scholarship applications if you are a Junior or Senior in high school. The OSAC scholarship application is lengthy, so don't wait until the last minute.

Jan 31st is right around the corner! Remember that the rules for tax forms changed this year. January 31st is now the date for W-2's, 1099's, (and new this year) W-3's, and 1096's. Remember that your W-3's and 1096's can be filed online through ssa.gov. Although they don't seem to answer their phone or email if you lost/forgot your password.
