•Created a nationally recognized, "must-attend" CEO-level constituent "fly-in": developed annual three-day ABA Day in Washington "fly-in" for ABA and state/local bar leadership from a casual gathering into one of DC's most successful and well-organized lobby programs, as recognized by CQ/Roll Call.

•Secured an important funding stream for legal aid programs: spearheaded bipartisan legislative and national grassroots campaigns to include Interest on Lawyers' Trust Accounts (IOLTA) in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) unlimited insurance Transaction Account Guarantee program; played key role in amending Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to continue IOLTA coverage.

As many of you know, my mother lost her life savings to cybercriminals over three weeks in December 2019. Since then, I have been working to change laws and policies. It's an uphill fight, but you know I am patient, polite, and persistent--I'm not giving up. I'm excited to share that I was invited by the CFPB to speak at this October 30 national town hall on financial scams. I'm honored to join AARP's Kathy Stokes, one of the first people I talked with about my mom's case (thanks to my connections and work as a lawyer for the American Bar Association). Please join the call and help with reforms; this can easily happen to you or your loved ones. There will be legislation in the Virginia General Assembly in the 2025 session. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfwiW7TZK1PHdMrXT_BZckBqvsj52h2BAAmUwIp5Ws5Y3Fpvg/viewform
