Garrison Diversion is a co-sponsor of the Red River Valley Water Supply Project (RRVWSP) with the Lake Agassiz Water Authority. The RRVWSP will provide an emergency and supplemental water supply to cities and rural water systems from central North Dakota to the Red River Valley.

Garrison Diversion Conservancy District has 28 member counties in North Dakota. Each county elects a citizen representative to serve on the Garrison Diversion Board of Directors. The Directors serve four-year terms, participate in committees, and provide oversight to Garrison Diversion’s activities.
