"hero" vs. HERO

A nation is defined by who it shields and who it slaughters.

When a teenager travels across state lines to kill and is canonized as a hero, while a poet and an ICU nurse are executed by federal agents for their speech, "justice" has failed. One side is granted immunity for killing. The other is denied the right to exist.

When the law protects the executioner but erases the citizen who defends their neighbor, it is no longer a shield. It is a weapon.

This is not a lapse in judgment. It is an act of civil war. We are no longer a democracy; we are a nation held captive by an extremist regime.

Belief in human rights is a hollow gesture without action. The people of Minneapolis have shown us the path, reminding us of the one truth the state wants us to forget: The government does not run this country. The people do.

I Need Your Help.

I’ve been running the Latino Networking Group for almost a year now. What started as a simple idea to bring people together has grown into something truly special—and I’m so proud of what we’ve built so far.

But the truth is… I can’t do it all on my own anymore.

To keep growing, supporting our community, and building toward something even bigger (like becoming a nonprofit!), I need help from people who believe in the mission as much as I do. I’m officially forming a Board of Directors and looking for individuals who want to step up and help shape the future of this group.

I’m looking for a diverse board—a mix of voices, experiences, backgrounds, and ideas. Whether you’re Latino/a/x or an ally, your perspective matters and your heart for community is what counts.

Deadline to apply is April 30th.
I’ll be meeting with everyone who applies in May to decide who will officially join the board.

English: 📢 United for Justice: A Peaceful Protest Against ICE & Deportations 📢

Join us this Saturday at 3 PM at Fargo City Hall as we come together in a peaceful and inclusive protest to stand against unfair immigration enforcement and deportation policies. Everyone is welcome—Latinos, allies, and advocates—who believe in justice, dignity, and unity.

What We Need:

🎤 Speakers – If you have a story to share, legal expertise, or a message of support, we’d love to have you speak.
🔊 Audio Equipment – We need microphones, speakers, and a sound system to ensure everyone can hear.
🚔 Security Volunteers – We are looking for individuals to help keep the event safe and organized.
💙 Donations – Water, food, supplies, or financial contributions would be greatly appreciated.
📢 Spread the Word – Share this event with friends, family, and community members!
