My tag line is so true. I had to share a little comedy in between posts.

Last fall, I was working on a sign (Saturday afternoon) when I spotted these two guys coming out of an establishment...

They showed me that teamwork is better sometimes🤣🤣

You never know what you’ll find when you open up a sign.

Today’s surprise: a hole inside the pole. Not outside… inside.
No obvious impact. No clean edges. Just damage hiding where nobody would ever see it.

This is the kind of stuff that makes sign work interesting. From water damage, to mystery wiring, to structural issues buried inside — every sign has a story. And sometimes that story starts with, ā€œWell… that’s not supposed to be there.ā€

It’s not always just installing.
It’s troubleshooting.
It’s detective work.
It’s figuring out how this thing is still standing.

Behind every sign is a story.

BIG. BOLD. FLEX FACE GOING UP. šŸ’„

There’s something different about installing a flex face…
You don’t just hang a sign — you mark it, stretch it, tension it, and bring a massive blank canvas to life.

This one in Bismarck went from an empty frame to a billboard-sized statement.

Wind fighting us. Fabric pulling tight. One side at a time until it snaps into place. (Or having to do it 3 times to make it right😊)

Behind every flex face install is a little muscle, a lot of precision… and that satisfying moment when the wrinkles disappear, and the whole thing pops.

Another skyline upgrade. Another story behind the sign.

Behind every sign is a story… and this one gets a little loud. šŸ”Š

It starts with a plain sheet of plastic and a pattern laid out just right. Looks simple… but not for long.

Next up—cue the DeWalt jigsaw. Now we’re cutting, shaping, and bringing that design to life piece by piece. There’s something satisfying about watching it go from flat to finally looking like something.

Then comes the edge trim—the part that cleans it up and gives it that finished, professional look. Like putting a frame on a masterpiece.

And the grand finale? Installing that sign face and seeing it all come together out in the real world.

From a raw sheet to a head-turning sign… yeah, that’s the good stuff.

Stick around if you like seeing things get built from the ground up. šŸ”§

Behind every sign… there’s a story.

Most people see the finished product — clean, straight, and standing tall.
But what they don’t see is the climb, the early mornings, the wind, the wiring, the problem-solving on the fly.

As a sign installer, I get a different view. I see the work that goes into bringing someone else’s vision to life — piece by piece, bolt by bolt.

Every install has its own challenges. Every job has its own story.
And being the one up there making it happen? That’s a story too.

It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it when you step back and see that sign lit up and doing exactly what it’s meant to do.
