Our team responded to a commercial door emergency after the door became inoperable.

Upon inspection, we discovered both lift cables had come off the drums and become tangled around the shaft. To restore safe operation, we:

✅ Reset and properly routed both cables
✅ Adjusted spring tension
✅ Moved the dock bumpers forward 8 inches to help reduce stress on the door system and prevent future issues

⚠️ During our diagnosis, we found that the door is equipped with a chain hoist that is creating cable slack, causing the cables to come off the drums. This particular door was not designed to operate with a chain hoist, which is contributing to the recurring problem.

Issue: Unload Door 20 was not securing properly and needed immediate adjustment for safe operation.

✅ Repairs Made:
• Adjusted the right-side drum to prevent rubbing against the bracket
• Adjusted spring tension
• Moved both vertical tracks outward to prevent the door from binding between the tracks
• Reinstalled roller that had come out of the track
