We are so excited to introduce Takiesha Smith, panelist for "Our Future Belongs to Us: Amplifying Innovations in Black Maternal Health!", presented by UnityPoint Health!

TaKiesha is a Doula and CLC in Indiana. She is devoted to raising awareness about neurodivergence, promoting equity, and enhancing maternal outcomes. She started her company, The Caring Doula Group, to help educate and enable birthing families. She recognizes that each birthing experience is unique, and neurodivergent individuals require customized support as well as tangible ways to advocate for themselves. To affect change at scale, TaKiesha trains doulas on creating inclusive birth plans, sensory considerations, and communication strategies to empower neurodivergent parents during this journey! We are looking forward to the gems TaKiesha will have to share with us on April 11th!
