illuminazione:
lighting, illumination, lightness, flash of inspiration I've been playing drums since 1985. In 2025 I went down the Lighting Rabbit hole. My purpose for lights is to add a little something extra to my bands performance. However, I feel their is a lighting need for local Indianapolis bands. This is why I started illuminazione

Raised in St. Louis MO, where I found tons of trouble, while growing up on classic rock, rhythm and blues. Escaped to Texas in 1990, I dug my heals into the Texas music scene; shuffling drums beats, whipping up county swing and jamming rock n roll. Rubbed elbows with the likes of Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy, Clarence Gate Mouth Brown, Caroline Wonderland, Shelly King, Willie Nelson, Tommy Shannon, Chris “Whipper” Layton, Vasser Clemons, and Peter Rowan. During my 18 years in Texas- I racked up lots of live performance and studio time at Arlyn studios, did work with Chet Himes (Christopher Cross), traveled and toured with various acts around Texas and the southwest region. The winds of change blew towards Denver Colorado in June 2010. Jumping in with both feet and a deep dive into the local/regional music scene-a successful run with tribute bands, jam bands, country, cover and original bands, recording sessions, playing music festivals and sharing the stage with many talented artists; I am a solid pocket drummer who feels the energy and shares the grove with his fellow cohorts on stage. Now, In full transition with a move to the Indianapolis area 2022- the beat goes on!

Spent the last couple weekends with our friends from Sight and Sound, working a wedding and a music festival. Event production is no joke. Lots of moving parts and situation solving.
Watching this crew find solutions to smooth over every situation that popped up with impressive skill and professionalism: unbelievable!
There is a reason Sight and Sound are constantly being booked for events.
Very blessed to have connected with this team. We are all learning and growing together.
Super excited for future adventures and endeavors!

As we head into year #2- we started off with a field trip to see the Double Trouble - Double Vision tour last night. Foreigner and Lynyrd Skynyrd were in town. I had the opportunity to meet and visit with Foreigner's lighting director; Benjamin W Moffitt a fellow August bday/Leo and a 40 yr lighting guru/stellar human being

Ben was kind enough to show us a glimpse into the production world with a quick tour thru the belly of the beast - Deer Creek Amphitheatre. Met a few of his trusted crew and caught some views of all the toys, gear and trucks.

Mad respect to everyone who works in this world. Cheers to all the crew who put it all together day in and day out.

The bonus- was getting to shadow Ben while he worked the show. The lighting desk: Avolites D7-330

I am a visual learner. What I picked up last night -invaluable. I connected a lot of dots.
I'm inspired to keep on this path.
A million thank you's B-Jamming! I truly appreciate your time.

A side note. Both bands are celebrating 50 yr milestones. they still rock the house.

I have several other photos and videos. this is a glimpse.
