We were lucky enough to be asked to build a unique feature in the backyard of a home near Lake Fenton this summer. The homeowner wanted a meditative Labyrinth installed, and mentioned that it would be cool if the feature glowed in the dark. After considering painting some pavers with glowing paint, we opted for a much better option: GlowPath pavers! It's a great product from a Michigan based company, and WOW, is the final result jaw-dropping. We learned a lot tackling this job, and really enjoyed spending time with the awesome homeowners, who are also old friends! Hopefully, more nighttime photos coming soon!

Our rehab of the basement of this Dexter craftsman, damaged by water last spring, has reached the halfway point!

So far, the project has involved removing the damaged bottom of the basement wall, leveling the concrete floor, rebuilding and finishing the wall, painting and trimming the office, and installing a new laminate floor.

Next up, we will be moving furniture back in, clearing out the adjacent room, and giving it the same treatment!

Starting up a big basement rehab in Dexter. Our client renovated the basement in their 1920s Crasftman a decade ago, but big rains this spring damaged the carpet and walls. We're going to tear out the damage, level the floor, and install Luxury Vinyl Plank.

We had to hang the new walls from the floor joists to cut off the corroded bottoms of the steel studs.

Today, we basically finished the demolition. Monday, we begin leveling the old concrete.

Helped a great friend replace a failing, rusted garbage disposal this afternoon. The old can was stubborn and didn't want to come out without a fight!!! But some WD-40, elbow grease and an oscillating saw with a bimetal blade won in the end! The new beast is the same model, but now a lot more "work-y"!
