ARRESTED & WOUNDED: JSO responded to a call of “Shots fired” at approximately 5:40 a.m. at Regency Inn in Arlington earlier this week, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds that were not life-threatening at this ended stay enterprise.

As JSO Officers began investigating, it revealed 36 year old Amber Shealynn Campbell walking up to the 43-year-old victim, who was talking with another man and made a comment that the victim “Attempted to ignore.”

The unknown man then stepped in and asked the victim why he made his “Sister” Amber upset and the victim advised, “It was a misunderstanding”.

Suddenly, a fight broke between the two, resulting in a fight on the ground. The investigation revealed, Amber retrieved a firearm, aimed it and attempted to intervene but end up shooting not only the victim but also shooting her brother, uttering “I didn’t mean to do it”.

Campbell was detained and subsequently transported to Duval County Jail after Miranda was read for a cool off period.

Both the suspect and victim were transported to nearby hospital as one was shot in the arm and one in the buttocks. If you have any information regarding this incident, you are urged to call JSO at 904-630-0500.

ARRESTED & CHARGED FOR MURDER AFTER WALKING THE STREETS OF JACKSONVILLE AS THOUGH THEY DIDN’T DO ANYTHING: 26-year-old Da-Vonne Mitchell is behind bars after he shot two men, killing one of them and injuring the other.

Around Christmas 2025, The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) responded to a parking lot on Edgewood Avenue North after receiving reports of someone who had been shot. When JSO Officers arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. JFRD took the men to the hospital but 49-year-old Cory Denmark succumbed to his injuries. The other man survived.

Homicide unit detectives launched an investigation and began speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage from the scene. Detectives identified Mitchell as the gunman and finally arrested and charged him for Denmark’s Murder. Also identified were 29-year-old Tyquan Thompson and 26-year-old Anthony Brooks Jr., who were arrested for Accessory to Murder After the Fact.

JSO is confident these individuals were responsible and transported them to the Duval County Jail.

ALERT: DIRTBIKE BANDIT. You can run but you can’t hide! The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) needs your help in identifying this dirt bike bandit!

As a victim placed his dirt bike on Facebook Marketplace to sell, the suspect offered to buy the bike, and the two met up at a house on Nolan Street off Lenox Avenue in Lackawanna on the Westside.

The day of the buy arrives and the dirt bike bandit arrives with an envelope of “Cash” in hand. He gives it to the victim and asks to test drive the bike. Instead of “Test driving” the bike, he spent the block and drove off 💨. The victim checked the envelope and there was no money inside.

Even worse, the Facebook Marketplace account was already taken down when the victim tried to contact the dirt bike thief.

He deserves a ride in the back of the car, all the way downtown. If you recognize this SLICK bandit, call JSO at 904-630-0500.

He was instrumental in safely guiding an active shooter away from one of our client properties several years ago—an act that reflects his professionalism and commitment to protecting others.
