Local folks! Tomorrow is going to be a beautiful day!

Mountain Valor Fest 2025 is almost here! Join us on Saturday, September 13th at Crooked Mountain Campground for a full day of connection, remembrance, music, food, and community. From our 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony to live bands, kids’ activities, veteran resources, and even baby goats, MVF is the place where rural veterans and their families come together.

This event is free and open to the public—but please note, pets and emotional support animals (ESAs) are not permitted on site. Only trained service animals are allowed.

Let’s make this a day to remember—see you at MVF!

Tests. I put them off FOREVER...15+ years to be exact! I finally bit the bullet and took the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional exam, which is for folks who focus on people strategy...and passed!🌟

Local folks! Have you seen the chart of organizations that Angels in the Attic supports? I've been thinking a lot about how their work touches so many in the community.

Volunteers are desperately needed at the main store! The attached photo shows a few of the local charities supported by sales generated at Angels In The Attic. The chart is a few years old, and we are working to update it.

We desperately need people to hang clothing, and to put priced items on store shelves for sale.

We need people to help clean the store and straighten up items on the shelves.

We occasionally need someone who can test electronic devices.

We need people to help out at the front register ringing up customer sales and bagging purchases. We like to have these people on a schedule so we know it is covered every open day, but it would be nice to have others who can be called in as backup when needed.
