after over a year of exemplary service, is still in a status of
suspension while there is funding being offered, at least one crew
member eager and available, loads of community support and ample
volunteers. Please help keep the most effective anti-pollution
initiative ever seen on Folly Beach alive and well.

ATTENTION: City Council will be meeting this evening to discuss the future of the FBMP. If you support the most successful litter control and prevention initiative ever seen on Folly Beach, please attend and help us get this very good thing back on track. The meeting will be held at City Hall tonight at 6 pm and is open to the public.

operations have been suspended until further notice! Working through the winter last year proved to be an essential catch-up period for us. If you have enjoyed a cleaner beach this summer and wish to continue the trend throughout the off season, please contact Mayor Goodwin and member of Council requesting reinstatement of the Beach Patrol. Help us continue keeping our favorite beach safe and clean.

County came through! Six new recycling bins were delivered today, and with help from our friend Vince, they were placed at west side walkovers accordingly. Please recycle whenever you can and thanks to all the kind people who made this possible!

The U S Coast Guard rocks! Today, with help from a large group of volunteers, several hundred pounds of dangerous old funky tangled rusty sand fencing was removed from the beach. Well done USCG! The Beach Patrol looks forward to working together again soon!

See y'all at 4 pm on the beach today for another volunteer clean up. Please bring trash bags if you can. Focus will be around the pier and washout, or your nearest walkover. Thanks to all who participated last Sunday, we are truly making a difference.

April is "Green Up Folly" month and its time to prepare for the season. Folks are less inclined to litter on a clean beach, so please remove trash when you see it. The best way to improve environmental awareness in to be pro-active. Together, we can make a positive and lasting impact on the ecosystem and our community!
