Supporting our community, one student at a time.

Our Garfield team collected school supplies and monetary donations to help local students start the school year prepared and confident. This week, those donations were delivered to Grissom Elementary, Longfellow Elementary, Southview Elementary, and Southside Middle School.

These supplies will help students and families in need, especially as their community continues to recover from recent flooding. We are proud of our employees for their generosity and commitment to making a positive impact where it matters most.

As we wrap up Safety Month, we’re proud to highlight our Garfield team for their strong commitment to creating a safe and healthy workplace.

Employees came together to recognize Safety Month with a cookout featuring hamburgers and hot dogs, along with raffles for health and safety items, including first-aid kits and fire extinguishers. The team also recognized employees who achieved specific safety goals for a full year. Thank you to our Garfield team for putting safety first every day.

Element Resources recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of its Forest City, Missouri, recycling facility, marking five decades as a critical contributor to the North American circular economy for lead batteries. Since opening its doors in 1976, the Forest City plant has established itself as a cornerstone in Holt County, supporting approximately 100 employees, participating in community initiatives, and driving economic resilience in one of Missouri’s most rural regions.

Our employees volunteer with Open Door year-round, showing their commitment to the community, Since 1984, the Open Door Food Kitchen in Saint Joseph, Missouri, has served 250-350 hot meals every day to individuals and families in need. Their mission is simple but powerful: To build a better community by feeding and caring for all who come through their doors. We're proud to continue supporting and showing up for those in need throughout our community.
