Meet Dana Mitchell. The associates at our Atlanta operation call her "Auntie," and once you talk to her, you understand why. Eight years in, she leads from the floor, in the trenches right alongside her team.

Ask Dana what guides her decisions, and she'll tell you straight: integrity, honesty, and humility. "Honesty provides more respect and allows for greater buy-in," she says. And on the misconception that leaders don't care? Her answer is simple. "I choose to care."

Her advice for associates with their eye on leadership is one she keeps close: "Don't let past practices impede future progress."

WHAT A DAY IN ST. LOUIS!

Recently, BGDC Distribution opened our doors in Kinloch for an on-site job fair, and the community showed up in a BIG way. More than 200 candidates walked through our doors, met our team, and got a real look at what life at BGDC is all about.

A huge thank you to our leadership and Human Resources teams for putting this event together. The flow was smooth, the energy was high, and the day ended with real next steps for some incredible candidates. Events like this don't just happen. They take planning, hustle, and a whole lot of heart.

Whether he's on an LTO assignment or Cherry Picking, Tommy brings a willingness to learn, a focus on doing the job right, and energy that lifts the whole team.

Day Shift: Carl McCoy Jr.
On the maintenance team, Carl leads by example. He stays focused, follows procedure, and looks out for everyone working around him.

Please help us welcome Jason Draffin to BGDC as our new Vice President of Business Development!

Jason joins us with more than 25 years of experience in supply chain and global operations. Through leadership roles at GXO and Lincoln Electric, he earned a reputation for turning complex supply chain challenges into solutions that work, and we're proud to have that experience driving BGDC's next chapter. He's already off to a strong start, just returning from representing BGDC at the Global Cold Chain Alliance conference.

Outside of work, you'll find Jason in Decatur, GA, where he and his family spend much of their free time fostering and volunteering with local animal shelters.

Forest Park's Employee Appreciation Week recap is in, and yes, tacos were a theme.

From fresh fruit on Monday and a Taco Tuesday feast courtesy of Chef Michael at Vagabond Taco Truck, to Wellness Wednesday, BGDC Swag Day co****le (congrats to grand prize winner Levy Musende), and a Frozen Friday finale, their week was packed.

Across all three sites, the food changed, the activities shifted, but the reason was the same: our associates.

🌮 St. Louis brought the heat for Cinco de Mayo!

The festivity is real! A taco lunch served across every shift, and yes, plenty of taco drip on display. Our St. Louis team turned a Tuesday into a full-on celebration. Thank you to everyone who made it happen. The photos say it all.
