Can you tell which logo belongs to a roofer, a realtor, and a mortgage company?
Neither can anyone else. And that's exactly the problem.
We see the Nike swoosh — it doesn't say shoes or clothes. When we see Starbucks, we just know coffee.
But somewhere along the way, businesses started thinking their logo needed to explain what they do. So every roofer has a roof. Every realtor has a house. Every mortgage company has... also a house.
And now nobody stands out. But you hire a marketing agency to then try and make you stand out. See the problem?
Your logo isn't a description. It's a feeling. What do you want your potential clients to feel when they see your logo?
So here's the real question — what are you actually selling?
Are you selling a service? A product? Are you selling luxury? A lifestyle? An experience?
What do you want to be known for? What makes your company different?
Because that is what your logo should make people feel. Not explain. Feel.
