Jeremy Begly is a senior at Colorado State University majoring in Civil Engineering. Prior to entering CSU, Jeremy attended Trinidad State Junior College where he was involved with two Colorado Space Grant Consortium projects. He was the team leader of a balloon payload to study greenhouse gases to 100,000 feet above the surface and presented the findings to engineers at Jet Propulsion Laboratories in Pasadena, California. Additionally, he served as a leader on the Robotics Team to create a robot that would autonomously navigate its way in sandy and rocky terrain. At CSU, he has also taken part in ASCE’s annual Steel Bridge Competition. He effectively managed to work with teammates to meet the goals at hand and meet the deadlines required. Moreover, Jeremy has worked in the construction industry for JB Builders, Inc. for five years until February of 2008 gaining insight in the field. Since 2008, he has worked for JUST Architectural & Engineering, Inc. During his time here, he has gained valuable experience in designing both architectural and structural sets of plans for both residential and commercial buildings. He has designed and specified structural members, foundation sizes and reinforcement, and connection details. Moreover, he inspected the quality of the work and ensured the design drawings were followed by the general contractors. He obtained valuable knowledge in working with both the clients and contractors to reach the finality of project. Jeremy’s attention to detail, team mindset, and desire for excellence will lead to the overall success of the project at hand.
