I created this group to help people find work in the area. I seen some of the barriers that people encounter when job seeking and starting a career. The group opens up the ability to find online listings, listings advertised in print adds, and many word of mouth jobs that would otherwise be a more internal hiring process. This group also gives an employer the opportunity to find a employee fast. Advertising on this site can help fill a position instantly. I fell in love with Human Resources during an internship with the Workforce Investment Act. I see a need n the area so I created this group so the people of southeast Iowa can work together to build one medium to find jobs in the area. its a network opportunity to make connections and open doors. with Facebook you can build a relationship with an employer or potential employee in real time.
Now it is time for Southeast Iowa Employment Group to grow and change the way it operates. The group has grown large enough that Tyler Mills and I will be switching from a group to a full blow Facebook N.G.Organization over the next couple months. I am asking the help of the group members to like and share the new page so that everyone who is currently a member will be able to join the new page. The objective is to be able to offer a better medium for people and businesses to advertise and reach out further than the current group can. The NGO page would make it possible for direct marketing to any location in the country. It will make it possible to effectively market to people with the desired knowledge, skills, abilities, and other attributes of a successful prospecting employee and employers.
This change would make it possible for members to post reviews so we can get an inside look of how the group affects the lives of the people in the community and how we can improve the functionality of the group. I am quite impressed with the amount of people who use the group and how many people have benefited. Thank you to everyone who has joined and contributed to the growth of Southeast Iowa Employment Group! Now lets take it to the next level. This group will not only help people find jobs and careers but will help employers find the right people for the positions in the area. It will help to stimulate the growth of our local economy and foster a community with a willingness and want to expand our local job market and talent pool.
