Innkeepers / General Managers Eric and Charlene Taubert are pleased to announce that Candleberry Inn on Cape Cod has been named as "Cape Cod's Best Bed and Breakfast" in the 2026 Community Choice Awards, hosted by Cape Cod Times!

"This award is especially meaningful to us," said Eric Taubert. Candleberry Inn has once again been awarded the AAA Four Diamond distinction for 2026, a title currently bestowed upon only five properties on Cape Cod.

Christina Hayman and Mary Maguire of AAA Northeast returned to Candleberry Inn to deliver the news in person.

“Congratulations, Eric and Charlene,” said Maguire while presenting the award. “Earning the AAA Four Diamond Award for Candleberry Inn on Cape Cod places you among a small percentage of properties nationwide — it's an accomplishment that very few in the hospitality industry ever achieve.”

Candleberry Inn on Cape Cod Innkeepers / General Managers Eric and Charlene Taubert are proud to share this recognition with their whole team. Brooke, Lorin, and Nikolina stood for the photo with Eric and Charlene. Marilee wasn't there for the presentation ceremony, but her work is in this award just the same.

Ogunquit gets a new monthly art crawl.

Starting September 17, SeaArt Ogunquit turns Third Thursdays (4–7pm) into a standing invitation to walk between galleries, studios, and shops across town and out to Perkins Cove — ten stops on the inaugural map, from Maine Art Hill on Main Street, through Barn Gallery at the corner of Shore Road and Bournes Lane, to the cluster of galleries at 119 Perkins Cove -- and beyond.

Ogunquit's galleries and studios have mostly operated on their own schedules and their own foot traffic. SeaArt Ogunquit puts them on the same calendar instead — which is closer to how the Ogunquit Art Colony actually worked a century ago, when painters shared studios and crit sessions rather than working in isolation. One evening a month, doors open together, work meant to be seen in relation to what's right down the road.

First one: September 17, 4–7pm.
