This is the cold hard facts. We worked with TechBeat to build our site and our entire business HQ behind the scenes.
The best part of working with Jacob and Nicole is the moment you say "I wish I had..." or "you know what would be cool..." those are the moments when their process really gets going.

After sitting down with them for just 2 sessions, we have an amazing website and an even cooler backend that tracks everything for my new business, not just my clients...E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G (well everything except remind me to make my wife coffee in the morning but I am confident if asked, Jacob could build that in too)

These guys are the real deal and it was an amazing experience getting TechBeat-en 🤣

Let's talk about Dino Gnome.

People keep asking us the same things about Dino Gnome, so we figured we'd start answering them publicly, one every couple of days.

Q: Why is the client the only one mic'd up?

A: Because you're the star of the show. I'm just a bystander. When you come into that interview you are the expert, you are the one we need the attention on, you are the one we need the clean crisp audio from, you are the one we need on camera from multiple angles. We don't need video of me because I'm not the star of your content. You are.

That's why you're mic'd up. That's why all the angles are on you. I'm just the interested party pulling out your expertise so you can share it with the world. My whole purpose is to make you look like the expert that you already are. And I serve that purpose well.

How much of your real expertise is still trapped in conversations you wish you had recorded instead of showing up where your next client can see it?

Answer below.

Let's talk about Dino Gnome.

As word gets out about what we're building, the same questions keep popping up. So every couple of days, we're tackling one.

Q: How does the interview process actually work?

A: We come to you wherever you want to set up. If you already have a clean background we can work with, great. If not, we create one. We bring everything needed to make that happen, the backdrop, the microphone, the chair, whatever the setup requires.

Then we sit across from each other just like a formal interview in a real podcast setting. Because in a way, that's exactly what it is. The difference is all the video is on you. Your mic captures everything. I'm just the person across from you asking questions and genuinely listening to your answers. That part matters more than people expect. You can't replicate on your own what happens when someone is actually interested in what you do and reacting to it in real time. That's what gets you comfortable. That's what gets you passionate. It happens naturally.

After the interview we go to post. We edit the full session and if you want the long form video we can make that happen. But what we're really doing is clipping it for social. You walk away with twenty or more clips of varying lengths you can share across any platform you're using now or plan to use in the future. You also get written content and graphic quote cards, all branded to your standards so everything matches wherever it gets shared.

And if you want, we can build an automation process that handles all your posting for you. So all you really have to do is show up, answer the questions, then sit back and watch the authority build. Watch yourself become the expert online that you already are in real life.

The next step in the creation of our Mascot Logo - Tiny the Dino Gnome! We have color!

Finding the right colors for a brand can be hard or it can be easy. For us it was both. We found our dark muted plum very quickly but this teal color has been tough and we went between green, blue, light blue, and darker teal but we landed here.

The plum brown represents creativity and authenticity while the teal stand for the trust and credibility we help our clients build online. Together you get Dino Gnome - helping you build Authentic Credibility and Authority online.

Any guesses on the color of the patch on his hat?

Q: How did you get into this?

A: Podcasting is really what got me here. I have my own podcast, I'm on my second one now, and I've produced one for a friend who became an ongoing client. The more time I spent in that world the more I noticed something. Podcast style content keeps getting more prevalent and more viral. You have your Joe Rogans and your Theo Vons, but you also have everyday creators with a microphone and a decent background who suddenly look like experts. And that's because people believe that only experts appear on podcasts. The framing does something to how you're perceived.

I took that idea and started thinking about what it would mean to apply it to professionals, coaches, and consultants. People who could have their own podcast but don't necessarily want to run one full time. They still need that style of content to set themselves apart from AI noise, to stand out from people who just entertain, to be entertaining and educational and authoritative all at once.

I've been studying social media for a few years trying to improve it for my own businesses and side hustles. As AI shifted the landscape I started seeing more and more fake things being posted. Ads, pictures, stories, even videos. And I think AI is a great tool, but when people take what AI gives them and put it directly in front of their audience without touching it or filtering it or making it their own, what you get is a feed full of noise. If your business is in that feed and nothing about your content stands out, they're going to keep scrolling.

That happened to me. I'd get views and no engagement because I wasn't providing authority, I wasn't providing anything authentic. When I started making video and talking about what I do in my own voice with my own personality, people started taking me seriously. As a coach, as a podcaster, as an entrepreneur. That shift was pivotal, and it pointed me toward trying to become a content creator myself, which eventually led to overwhelm and kind of blew up in my face.

But what I kept watching was coaches, consultants, and professionals doing everything themselves and struggling with content while their potential clients were going to social to validate them before buying. People want to see what you know before they pay for it. The only way to build anything from social media is to have authentic authority content. The best way to do that is a long form interview style video clipped up, optimized, and shared across platforms. That's how a business shows future clients they are legitimate, they are passionate, they are the expert. You don't have to be the loudest one in the room or the one putting out the most content to be the one they trust.

Let's talk about Dino Gnome.

A few posts back we started answering some of the questions we keep getting about Dino Gnome. Here's the next one in that lineup, straight answer, no spin.

Q: Where did the name come from?

A: When my wife and I were trying to land on a name, I let her take a shot at it. She came back with Dino Gnome. I said, what is that? She said, our business name. I said, no, for real. And she explained it. When we shop for each other, I look for dinosaur stuff for her and she looks for gnome stuff for me. Those were the two words she thought of.

The more I tried to talk myself out of it, the more it stuck. The domain was available. The trademark was available. Nobody on the planet has this name. We went through probably a hundred names that made sense and every one of them was taken, some of them by businesses right here in Florida. We wanted something that stood out. What we got was something that makes people stop and ask, what is that? Which is honestly what any business should hope for.

Here is the next evolution of Tiny the Dino Gnome
Tab made updates to the beard and the hat. Then started adding the shadows in mouth and hat.

Some people see subtle differences but this was created and updated over the span of a few hours!

What they dont tell you is when a human is creating a unique logo or brand, every line, every shape and every shadow is placed. Even when you have an AI-generated idea, what makes a brand unique is the little pieces and details that are changed to make it more you, more authentic.

We will continue sharing our process of building out our brand and content so you trust us with yours.
