The Freedom Meal answers the question: What shall we do between Juneteenth and July 4th?

Nestled between Juneteenth and July 4th, the Inaugural Freedom Meal sets in motion a powerful annual observance that both honors and contemplates the full expanse of American history. By weaving together the threads of celebration and reflection, the Inaugural Meal fosters a deeper, more nuanced understanding of freedom, recognizing its varied meanings across diverse communities while confronting the paradoxes embedded in our national narrative.

The meal is an affirmation: We Can and We Must Tell the Story -- the Whole Story -- Our Story. Our threefold goal is to:
Reconfigure Our Social/Historical Memory
Open and Reset Our Moral Imagination
Reaffirm Our Commitment to Liberty and Justice for All!!
