Running a warehouse is very dynamic. Constant change. 24 hours ago, tons of room. Now? Over 100+ pallets to prep. Both my selling and my 3PL require constant innovation and adapting. This image is just 1 of my warehouses.

We have the ability to flex up and down with less than 24 hour notice. Monday we will double our staff. Tuesday, maybe triple depending on how stuff goes. And if Friday we don’t need that many, we will dial back down.

Additionally, warehouse flow needs to be rock solid. Can product flow in, get processed, and go out with the least amount of movement, touches, and still stay organized? What may look like a cluttered warehouse is actually product that is completely sorted and at different phases of the warehouse process.

If you use a prep center or use your own warehouse, you have to understand that some processes don’t scale and rebuild them so they do. My team will collectively prep tens of thousands of units next week as there are nearly 20k in ready to go in just this picture alone. (Oh and if you want a scalable prep center/3PL, DM me!)

Finally posting this project with the release of coming out. I know most of my followers are from my businesses, so this should be unique.

I estimate 19,000+ parts, over 100 hours over the course of over a year. Designed and built by myself — no instructions or custom software.

This model is unique as it uses 2 colors. Black plates on a 30”x30” baseplate grid with clear 1x1 plates stacked at different levels to produce a perceived “grayscale” effect. Stacks range from 1-7 layers tall with the teeth being the tallest.

This is the 3rd piece in my mosaic collection with my first 3 being animals (Tiger, Eagle, Wolf), I wanted to make something different. While I haven’t built much in a long time, I still love the hobby and hope to produce more when my businesses can run a little more autonomously.

This truck is a big deal for lots of reasons. In 2020, we fought an 8 month battle dealing with seller performance. Unfortunately we have conceded because of Amazon’s broken processes. This led to the retiring of my number one supplier, my sales going to near-zero, all while I don’t have time to source due to running my 3PL company.
We are, however, making progress. This is the first shipment since that fiasco ended (5 pallets) and I am working closely with my team to free up time for me to source along with team members. I need to spend probably $40-60k on inventory soon, which is hard without sourcing lined up, but I will get there. Eventually doubling and then tripling that number once sales “restart”
On the flip side, we are running well with with lots more to grow. We have to throttle and carefully control the number, type, and volume of clients to make sure all clients are satisfied.
Sorry my social media game is so inconsistent. It isn’t a strength of mine.

Well this week certainly has been an adventure.
- Received and unloaded our first (of many) truckload for prep. I’ve got more pallets of stuff coming, but this one was 25 pallets.
- Had to unload it into the permanent space due to the temporary space being without power due to the copper being stolen. Crazy I know.
- Not sure if we will have to move back, nor do I know how we will do that, but that’s for next week 😅
- And to top it off, there are some additional photos of the main space. Still lots of work to do, but should be very very rapid growth.

Sometimes you need to adapt.
Because of the FBA restrictions, suppliers running out of inventory, and a multitude of other factors, we have pivoted almost all our sales to fulfilling ourselves.
This is all done through a 3PL from our storage/backstock. Yes. Even wholesale and OA sellers can have backstock. All part of strategic buying.
I won’t have to prep a single one of these. Small and Light Seller Fulfilled Prime is winning over FBA even when prices higher than FBA.
