2 out of 100 visitors buy.
The other 98 don’t leave because your copy is bad.
They leave because of what they already believed before they read a single word.
There’s one belief that, if they held it, would make the sale inevitable.
Not “this product looks good.” Deeper than that.
It’s a belief about WHY they’re stuck. Why the problem they have isn’t a them problem. Why the solution they’ve tried wasn’t the right solution.
When that belief tips, everything else falls.
Three false beliefs stand between them and that moment.
Every time.
1. The Vehicle.
“This whole approach doesn’t work.”
They’re not rejecting your product. They’re rejecting the category.
You’re selling a Ferrari to someone who thinks cars can’t drive.
2. Internal.
“It works. Just not for someone like me.”
They believe the limitation is them. Their discipline. Their skill. Their personality.
You’re selling a guitar to someone who thinks they’re tone-deaf.
3. External.
“Not with my time, my budget, or my team.”
Circumstance is the last wall. They agree with everything. Love the idea. Close the tab.
You’re selling a boat to someone who thinks they live too far from water.
Break two and leave one standing and the sale still doesn’t close.
One wall is a wall.
And you don’t break a belief by arguing with it.
You replace it. You agree with why they believe what they believe. You split the category so there’s a version they’ve never actually tried. You tell the story of the moment you saw the difference. Then you bring proof. Then you name the new belief out loud so they can repeat it back.
Lead with proof and it slides right off. The belief is still standing.
So here’s the question worth sitting with:
Which of the three is your funnel ignoring?
