Every organization experiences seasons of transition, and we have been honored to spend the last several months serving as Interim Executive Directors for The Castle in Greencastle.

As our work together comes to an end, we are incredibly grateful for the trust placed in us during this chapter. We have had the opportunity to listen, learn, build relationships, and help create a foundation for what comes next.

We will be cheering The Castle on from the sidelines. We are excited to see how the organization continues to grow, evolve, and serve its community.

On Tuesday, Dana and Andrea had the opportunity to attend the W.I.L.D. Women in Leadership Development event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Greenwood.

The panel conversation on cultivating confidence and staying calm under pressure with Caryl Auslander, Lynnette Gray, and Kimberly Pate was insightful, practical, and full of wisdom.

The afternoon even included a fantasy football lesson, which was a fun reminder that confidence often grows when we are willing to step into something unfamiliar and learn as we go.

Yesterday, Dana and Andrea had the privilege of spending the morning with the board of the Trafalgar Area Chamber, and we're still thinking about the ideas, leadership, and community pride around the table.

Earlier this month, Dana Cummings had the opportunity to present at the Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement in beautiful French Lick, Indiana.

The conference brought together leaders from across the state to explore the future of rural communities through conversations focused on health, education, agriculture, resilience, economic development, and community engagement.

Dana was honored to present alongside her husband and Sunovis Ranch co-founder, Paul Cummings, on a topic that sits at the intersection of agriculture, sustainability, and rural vitality: Keeping Agriculture at the Center: Solar Grazing, Stewardship, and Rural Resilience in Indiana.

At DSC, we believe meaningful progress happens when people from different sectors come together around shared challenges and opportunities. Conferences like this create space for those important conversations and remind us that the strongest solutions are often built through collaboration.

A special thank you to the Indiana University Center for Rural Engagement for hosting such a thoughtful event and to Indiana Public Media / WTIU / WFIU for the opportunity to interview Dana and share the story of solar grazing with a broader audience.

Dana left the conference encouraged by the ideas, partnerships, and commitment she encountered from leaders working every day to strengthen communities across Indiana.
