Great news! The t-shirts are in and ready to be picked up at Freeport Fire Station 1 at 904 S Park Blvd. You can pick up anytime from 9-5 Monday through Saturday.

Please call (815)-235-8213 prior to coming to the station. We don’t want you to arrive and we are on a call or public detail.

Hello family and friends,

As many of you know, I am the Executive Director at Tyler's Justice Center for Children in Stockton, Illinois. We proudly serve children and families across Stephenson, Carroll, and Jo Daviess Counties.

I am excited to share that our 5th Annual Teeing Off for Tyler Golf Outing is coming up on Sunday, October 11, 2026! This incredible day will include 18 holes of golf, fun mini games, golf cart access, drink tickets, raffles, and lunch for all participants.

This event is so much more than a day on the golf course—it is an opportunity for our community to come together, have fun, and make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families who need us most.

Tyler’s Justice Center for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to lessening the trauma experienced by children who have been victims of sexual abuse and serious physical abuse. Every day, we work alongside our multidisciplinary team and community partners to ensure children and their non-offending family members receive compassionate, trauma-informed support, advocacy, and services at no cost.

The need for our work continues to grow with the number of cases we see each month and each year. We cannot continue this vital mission without the support of our community.

Yesterday, during our regularly scheduled union meeting, the members of Freeport Professional Firefighters Local 441 had the honor of welcoming Chaplain Keith Johnson as an honorary member of Local 441.
Pastor Johnson was presented with a plaque and certificate in recognition of this honor. He regularly stops by the firehouse to check in with our shift members, offer support, and make sure our firefighters know they have someone in their corner.

We are incredibly grateful for Pastor Johnson’s continued support, friendship, and everything he does for the members of Local 441.

Congratulations, Pastor Johnson, and thank you for all that you do for us!

It’s that time of year again. We will be doing our annual Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirts.

We will be doing all online orders this year with in person pickup at Freeport Fire Station 1. The orders will be open from now until Sept 1st with pickup after. There are options for a navy shirt with pink print and a pink shirt with navy print. There is a donation tab at the bottom of the first order screen to donate extra to our cause if you would like. After ordering on the checkout screen there is a tab to donate to the website we are using, that is automatically placed at 17%, select other and enter $0 for that donation. We do not receive that money that is donated as that goes straight to Zeffy.

Your Freeport firefighters have kept busy since the start of the new year. We have several members who have been a part of mitigating well over 400 incidents just in 2026. The attached graphic is a breakdown of calls from January 1st - June 30th this year.

Three members are participating in the 2026 AFFI Fran Gambro Legislative Conference. Following the completion of the first two days, we are sharing some conference highlights. Several speakers have presented on updates and provided educational content. We appreciate the time House Minority Leader Tony McCombie and Senator Andrew Chesney dedicated to meeting with our members.
