Second Look Examiners

I have spent the last week working on a website that has had me pulling my hair out. To say it has consumed me, is an understatement. I dreamed about the issue, I pondered the issue everytime I had a spare minute and I literally talked to myself for hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Yesterday, I took a deep breath and spent some quality time with Chat GPT as well as a CSS Code Validator. One little miss type can throw your entire site into disaster and that is what happened. Finally today I figured out how to fix the last piece that had been a huge issue. I truly am so relieved. I have to admit Chat GPT taught me some very basic but needed skills yesterday that helped me figure it all out today. I am proud of myself for never giving up!

I just wrapped up three days of work, making sure a large website I built is as ADA-compliant as possible. Accessibility is becoming more important than ever, and unfortunately, small businesses are being targeted with lawsuits when their websites fail to meet standards.

There’s always room for improvement (especially with some plugins I’m working with), but the key is to take action now.

If you have a website, please discuss accessibility updates with your designer. Alternatively, if you built it yourself, I recommend running it through an accessibility checker to assess its current status.
Taking a little time now can save you a big headache later—and, more importantly, it makes your site easier for everyone to use.
If you need a website, or just want to talk more about ADA compliance, feel free to reach out. I have been building websites since 2007 and I love helping small business owners.

When someone is building your website, you need to be clear. If you don't like something, tell them what you want to see. I hate this, isn't fair, know what you want done instead. Look at other websites and give them direction. There is not very many Psychic website builders.

Tip from a website designer. While in Florida, I see multiple benches with a realtor's face and name on them. "Terri sells homes' is the part I can read. We are on a road that doesn't allow you to write down a phone number because of speed. I HOPE her Website Designer knows about the benches and is told about the phrase. This phrase can be used in her meta data and when someone searches the phrase hopefully they would find her website.
