Have you heard of our Guardian Program?
The Etowah County Sheriff's Office Guardian Program is a GPS-based tracking system designed to help locate individuals who may wander away from their caregivers. When a family calls for help, trained deputies can immediately access the individual's real-time location and begin coordinating a safe recovery. Many participants are found within minutes.
Right now, more than 45 Etowah County residents are enrolled in the Guardian Program — and the devices are available at no cost to families, thanks to grants, community donations, and support from local foundations.
If you have a loved one who could benefit from this program, reach out to Investigator Trent Green:
📍 827 Forrest Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35901
📞 (256) 549-2183
📧 [email protected]
If your loved one ever wanders, call 911 immediately and tell dispatchers they are a Guardian Program participant. Deputies will respond right away.
Interested in donating so more families can have access to this program? Donations can be made directly to the Etowah County Sheriff's Office. Please reach out if you are interested in joining the effort.
