On June 14, 2026, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the La Marque Police Department was dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Main Street, La Marque.

Upon arrival, a male was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital.

During the investigation LMPD Criminal Investigation Division (CID), identified Eric Walker (37yo) as the shooter. Walker has an active warrant for aggravated assault with a bond of $150,000.

Walker has not been located and we are asking the public to please contact LMPD if you know his whereabouts.

On June 14, 2026, at approximately 8:40 p.m., the La Marque Police Department was dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Main Street (in La Marque).

Upon arrival, a male was discovered with an apparent gunshot wound. The male was transported by ground EMS to a local hospital. At this time, the male victim is being treated for his injuries.

LMPD Criminal Investigtion Division (CID) is on scene and actively investigating the incident. The incident is believed to be an isolated incident and it is believed that no danger to the general public exists.

Apparently, Johnathan Ivan Garcia decided that his felony court date was more of a suggestion than an actual obligation.

Last known to be living in La Marque, Johnathan is currently wanted for Failing to Appear in Court on a felony charge of UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A FELON.

We've received information that he may now be in the San Antonio or Austin area, apparently testing the theory that moving a few hundred miles makes warrants disappear. Unfortunately for Johnathan, that's not how any of this works.

Some people take road trips to find themselves. Johnathan may have taken one to avoid finding a judge.

If you've seen him, know where he's staying, or can help him locate the courthouse he's been avoiding, we'd appreciate the assistance. After all, a felony warrant is a terrible travel companion—it follows you everywhere.

🚨 Help Us Identify This Vehicle 🚨

The La Marque Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle involved in a Failure to Stop and Give Information (FSGI) crash involving injuries.

📅 Date: May 29, 2026
🕖 Time: Approximately 7:10 PM
📍 Location: 4200 N Gulf Fwy (just south of FM 1765)
📋 Case Number: 26-01137

Investigators are looking for a newer model black RAM pickup truck that sustained damage to the front right side. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and a female front-seat passenger.

Witnesses reported a possible disturbance occurring inside the vehicle prior to the crash, with the female passenger allegedly assaulting the male driver, which may have contributed to the incident.

We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash, observed the vehicle, has dash camera footage, or has information that could help identify the truck or its occupants to contact the La Marque Police Department.
