🚨 URGENT: The CDL Enforcement Wave is Here.

Florida just moved SB 86 out of committee with a 6-3 vote, and the implications are massive. This isn’t just about paperwork; it’s a full-scale enforcement shift.

If signed, starting July 1, 2026, Florida will:

Detain drivers found to be "unauthorized aliens" and transfer them to ICE.

Impound the truck immediately.

Fine carriers $50,000 per violation.

Ban the carrier from operating in Florida entirely.

The "Florida Model" is spreading: 📍 Oklahoma: Already took ~130 drivers off the road in "Operation Guardian" blitzes. 📍 Arizona: HB 2345 is moving fast, targeting fake CDLs and equipment seizure. 📍 Federal Level: FMCSA has already pulled $200 MILLION in funds from California for non-compliance. NY, CO, and MN are next on the list.

The Bottom Line: A driver who is "legal" in one state may now face arrest in another. For carriers, one bad hire could mean a $50k fine and a seized rig.

The FMCSA is looking for your input on a new proposal regarding non-domiciled CDLs. Following the rule changes in September 2025, the agency now wants states to keep stricter records of the application process for at least two years.

Why the change? Recent audits have shown gaps in state records, making it hard to confirm that these licenses are being issued according to federal law.
