The DOT says a 3/4-ton pickup towing a mini-excavator requires a Commercial Driver’s License, full logbooks, and a prayer to the DOT gods. Meanwhile, a 45-foot luxury motorhome dragging a stacker trailer full of toys gets a complete pass because it has a toilet inside.

If it’s attached to an RV, is it heavy equipment, or is it just a really aggressive lawn ornament?
