40- 18'x2"x4" without a single knot, bow, or twist. to be found. Don't often get loads that clean and you'll never find one at Home Depot at any price.

My great grandfather's, great grandfather's sawmill

Good old yellow wood. Mostly found in species that refuse to rot. Black Locust and Bois d'arc are among the hardest and most durable sources of lumber in the country. _Although incredibly yellow when fresh cut. It will soon be a nice brown and will last for generations indoors or out.

Sassafras is definitely high on my favorites list. Unbelievably durable. When it comes to outdoor wood it's hard to beat. Wish I had a plantation of it.
