Another great round of learning at the NAR Leadership Summit in Chicago! 🏙️❤️💙

The conversations today have continued to reinforce something I believe is so important for our association: growth starts with changing our mindset and being willing to evolve.

Some of the topics we’ve been diving into include:

*Changing our mindset and looking at new ways to approach the challenges and opportunities facing our industry
*Partnering with brokers to better understand their needs and create more value for our members
*Legal updates and what they mean for REALTORS® and associations moving forward
*Strategic planning and making sure our goals are purposeful and focused on the future
*New NAR programs and resources that will be coming soon and can provide additional tools and opportunities for our members
*Connecting our value with a purpose— making sure we can clearly communicate *why* REALTOR® membership matters and how our association serves our members

There is so much happening in our industry, and it’s easy to get caught up in simply keeping up. But I’m leaving these sessions reminded that we need to be thinking beyond today and asking:

How can we become better? How can we serve our members better? And how can we demonstrate the value of being a REALTOR®?

Still more learning, more conversations, and more ideas to come! I’m excited to continue taking everything I can from this experience and turning it into meaningful opportunities for our Clare-Gladwin REALTORS®.

A little glimpse into our day at the NAR Leadership Summit in Chicago! 🏙️❤️💙

These are just a few of the presentations and conversations we’ve had so far today—with plenty more to come! I’m here representing the Clare-Gladwin Board of REALTORS® and, most importantly, learning how we can continue to grow, improve, and provide more value to our members.

So far, we’ve had the opportunity to learn about:

*New education opportunities from NAR CEO Nykia Wright
*The importance of the Three-Way Agreement and what it means for the strength of our REALTOR® organization
*Partnership and collaboration with President-Elect Daniel Dwyer Snyder, including a presentation from Adorna Carroll
*Professionalism and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics with Jarrod Grasso and 2027 NAR President Christine Hansen

I’m excited to see what the rest of the day has in store and to continue finding new ways to educate, support, and build our membership! Stay tuned! 👏

Congratulations to Our 2026 REALTOR® of the Year – Ivie Baker!

The Clare-Gladwin Board of REALTORS® is proud to recognize Ivie Baker of Baker-Kehoe Realty as our 2026 REALTOR® of the Year!

For nearly three decades, Ivie has exemplified professionalism, leadership, and dedication to the real estate industry. A REALTOR® for 28 years and broker for 14, she has devoted countless hours to serving our association through the MLS Committee, Forms Committee, and Board of Directors. Beyond her service to CGBOR, Ivie is passionate about giving back to the community, mentoring future professionals, and supporting local students.

Ivie will be honored alongside REALTOR® of the Year recipients from boards across the state at the Michigan REALTORS® Convention this October at the Grand Traverse Resort.

Please join us in congratulating Ivie on this well-deserved recognition and thanking her for her outstanding commitment to our members, our profession, and our community!

The Clare-Gladwin Board of REALTORS® is proud to recognize Carley Castro of Superior Title as our 2026 Affiliate of the Year!

Since joining Superior Title in 2020 and becoming an affiliate member of our board, Carley has been a dedicated supporter of our association and its members. She actively serves on our Social Committee, helping organize fundraising efforts for our scholarship program, and regularly participates in our annual Scholarship Golf Outing.

Those who nominated Carley shared that she consistently goes above and beyond for both her customers and the REALTORS® she works with, always providing exceptional service and a willingness to help. Her professionalism, commitment, and involvement make her a truly deserving recipient of this year's Affiliate of the Year Award.
