Awesome experience today at Boston Open. 🥋 Super proud of my student competing for the first time at blue belt, also his first IBJJF competition. 💪🏽 Alex had a tough match against a strong opponent and held his own. 👌🏽Alex showed heart escaping some tough submissions and scoring with a beautiful butterfly sweep early in the match 🦋, then later in the match he was down on points and wasn't able to catch up. Nice job regardless! 👏🏽
I finished my first match with a footlock submission 🦶🔓, then after being up on points in my second match I was unable to hold on to the lead and ended up going 1-1 for the day, walking away with silver. 🥈
Overall we had a great time, got some quality feedback on what we need to work on, and will pepare to do it again, even better! 💯
