I picked up a new piece today that I can't wait to get started on. I'm going to call this build
"The Old Monster".
This is a 7 inch thick slab that is almost 70 inches wide at its longest points that was cut from the base of a 133 year old White Oak that blew over during a storm. In its current state it weighs somewhere around 500 lbs. It took 4 men to move this monster into the back of my truck. You can see how heavy this piece is by how my truck is squatting in the picture.
This is going to make someone an increadible table that I sure will be the centerpiece of the room it winds up in someday.
Im really looking forward to turning this Monsterous piece of wood into an increadible piece of furniture. This piece of wood is about ready to begin its next 133 years of life as a bad a$$ table.
