I am so excited for the opening of the newest Cork & Candles franchise on Oct. 3, @ 1533 Main Street Warrington, Pa. Congratulations to Linda & Doug Welles, they have soldiered through months of planning, training, meetings, research, physical labor, dealing with vendors, contractors, township regulations, codes and yes an interior designer, oh and boxes. Through it all they kept their positive outlook and excitement for the journey. Best of luck. Please pop a cork and make a candle and see the completed project with Linda and Doug.

one of my favorite memories

Another great night spent giving, sharing and learning at Marvin's home in Landsdale. Marvin's Home is a charity that furnishes homes for young adults aged out of foster care or homelessness. We were entertained by Jeff Devlin, HGTV star from Stonehouse Revival. He enlightened us all to the reality of being part of a home improvement TV series. Wonderful speaker, very funny and insightful. We followed this with building toolboxes, cleaning buckets and first aid kits, with donated products, which will be given to the new homeowners. These kids are about 18 years old and set out on their own, with basically a few bags of clothing.
Thank you Mel for all your hard work for this organization.

Just like the seasons, the trends are changing. We embraced the minimalistic, grey, white then black interiors. Now warm up those spaces with color, texture, and pattern.
