Gold Star is a referral-based networking group that connects like-minded business professionals. Gold Star is industry-specific, so there can be only one profession per group. Members of Gold Star create relationships with other members by engaging in 121’s, which are individual meetings that allow you to get to know other members in a more intimate setting. Gold Star relies on the referral model. Additionally, members report the amount of money they have earned as a result of referrals through other Gold Star members. Two unique things about Gold Star are that members are allowed to cross-club at no extra charge, and if you’re unable to attend a meeting one week, you’re allowed to send a substitute to the meeting in your place.
