Arizona 🏜️
As we continue our study of Arizona, we’re taking a closer look at one of our state’s most incredible treasures the Grand Canyon!

Today’s activity was more than just creating a beautiful picture. This Grand Canyon sticker art gave us a chance to work on fine-motor skills, hand strength, coordination, attention to detail, and following directions;all while connecting our learning to Arizona geography.

We’re loving finding ways to make our homeschool lessons educational, engaging, and accessible. ❤️

🎨
Today’s activity was a paint-by-number Grand Canyon project, giving us a hands-on way to connect our art lesson to what we’re learning about Arizona. We’re learning about the state’s geography, famous landmarks, history, and what makes Arizona unique all while keeping learning fun and engaging.

I love finding ways to make our homeschool lessons hands-on, meaningful, and memorable.

🏜️ Landmark: Grand Canyon
🎨 Activity: Paint-by-Number

Learning doesn’t always have to happen in a workbook. Sometimes it happens with a paintbrush!

📚 Tip Tuesday: Create One Dedicated Learning Space

One of the simplest ways to make learning at home feel less overwhelming?

Have one workspace where all of your child’s school materials live.

Keep the essentials together:
✏️ Pencils & writing tools
📚 Books & workbooks
🖍️ Art supplies
📓 Notebooks
🧪 Hands-on learning materials
🗂️ Current assignments

When everything has a home, your child spends less time looking for materials and more time learning.

For students who struggle with organization or executive functioning, having a consistent workspace can provide an extra layer of structure, predictability, and independence.

Tip: You don’t need a dedicated homeschool room. A small desk, table, or corner of the house can work beautifully!

Simple space. Less searching. More learning.

🌵 State #48: Arizona! 🌵

We’re officially starting our 50 States adventure, and what better state to begin with than our own!

One thing I’ve really wanted to do with homeschooling is make learning feel real, hands-on, and meaningful not just reading about a state in a textbook, but actually experiencing it.

So as we study Arizona, we’re going to learn about its history, geography, national parks, culture ,and of course, we have to cook something!

Now I need your help!

What famous Arizona dish should we make for our Arizona study?

Drop your ideas below!

I’m excited to see where this homeschool journey takes us. Sometimes learning happens best when we step outside the textbook and make memories along the way.
