Coffee School Day One

Today was packed with learning, teamwork, and lots of coffee! We kicked things off with a full roastery and warehouse tour before diving into a brewing methods class with Becky. From there, we headed to a local coffee shop where we had the opportunity to visit with the staff, learn about their day-to-day operations, and see what keeps their location running smoothly.

We wrapped up the day back at the warehouse, collaborating on creating SWOT analyses for our locations and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

A great first day with an awesome group!

Coffee School for May is officially underway today
There’s something special about this moment, the first day when everything is still new, a little quiet, and full of possibility. Over the next three days, we’re excited to watch this group dive in, ask questions, make mistakes, and most importantly… grow. From learning the fundamentals to getting hands-on with real coffee decisions, this is where the real progress happens. Every Coffee School looks a little different, but the energy is always the same: curiosity, focus, and that spark when things start to click.
Can’t wait to see what this group takes away from it, and how they’ll carry it forward after these three days.

And that community exists because of sacrifice. We’re excited to welcome Pan & Roots as our newest wholesale partner! Highlighting this workhorse, our second roaster
This machine marked a major step forward for us. More capacity, more consistency, and a whole lot of long days dialing things in batch after batch. It wasn’t just an upgrade, it was a turning point. So many early mornings, late nights, first tries, and “finally nailed it” moments happened right here. This roaster helped shape our process, our standards, and the coffee we’re proud to put our name on today.
Every roast told a story, and this one helped us write a big part of ours.
Grateful for how far we’ve come.
