Hey y'all! Even those of us who feel most comfortable on the business end of the big scary black camera have to bite the bullet and show the world our faces. So, I figured I'd share the outtakes from our branding session get together before anything else. (This is what these three lovely ladies had to work with!)
I was in front of the cameras of colleagues with whom I have worked for many years. And who I have the pleasure of calling dear, close friends. And whose technical ability and creative eye I know first hand and trust implicitely. And I STILL felt just about as out of my element as could be.
I can say I walked away with a newfound appreciation for just how much confidence is placed in me, and all of us grateful to call this our profession. We are commissioned not only to capture an accurate representation of a moment in time, but to create an environment in which our clients are comfortable not only in front of our camera, but in our presence.
We ask your vulnerability and trust. And we can't do our job effectively without it. So, why not share a little bit of my own experience/discomfort being on "this side" of things π
To all my clients these 16 years- I do not take for granted every moment of trust you've placed in me as you invited me into your homes, your businesses and your events. Thank you.
